DAY LONG DHARNA HELD
The massive day long dharna in front of
O/o GMT,Satara was held on 26-3-10. The constituents of all the Joint
forum participated in the dharna. The closing hour demonstration were
held from 16.00 hrs to 17.30 hrs wherein Comrades of SNEA(I),
AIBSNLEA, BSNLEU, NFTE& BTEUBSNL . The district office bearers of
all the unions and associations took active part in the day long Dharana
and made it grand success.

MEETING
WITH GMT, SATARA:
The entire executive body of SNEA (I),
Satara,along with Senior Com.
S.N.Sarjerao DGM Satara today met the Hon.
GMT Satara Shri.P.K.Londhe,to introduce all the district office
bearers. The meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere, wherein the
DS introduced all the office bearers of the association and extended the
full support and cooperation to the management on the issues related to
Targets, growth, development. GMT Satara expected from all executives
and staff to make all out efforts to achieve the targets.

Satara Shri. Waghmare, to introduce all the district office
bearers, The meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere, the issues
discussed regarding pay fixation of newly promoted SDEs as regular SDE.
IFA assured for the pay
fixation at an earliest.

NEWS :- JOINT FORUM MEETING:
Lunch Hour demonstration on 15.03.2010
at CHQ/Circle/ SSA Level:
Joint Forum of Non Executive and Executive Unions / Associations met at
New Delhi and the discussed the Sam Pitroda Committee report and its
recommendations. Joint Forum come to the conclusion that the total
failure and mismanagement of the affairs of BSNL by its top Managers at
different level lead to the intervention of Hon. Prime Minister and
formation of the committee. All the Unions / Associations of Joint
participated in the meeting.
Joint Forum
unanimously resolved to demand:
a) Immediate repatriation of all ITS officers who
are not opted for BSNL,
b) Immediate procurement of GSM equipments and
c) IDA pension revision.
And protest against
a) 30% disinvestment,
b) Retrenchment through VRS,
c) Unbundling of last mile copper and
d) Outsourcing through service model

Report on Restructuring of BSNL:
1.
Retire or transfer around 100,000 employees.
2.
Divest 30 per cent stake in BSNL to an Indian strategic investor or
through an IPO.
3.
Adopt an outsourcing model.
4.
Eminent person from the private sector should be appointed Chairman,
supportedby best professionals selected from the market at
market rates.
5.Separate
the post of the Managing Director/CEO from that of the Chairman.
6.Change
the board composition to seven directors and allow the Ministry to
interact only through the board.
7.Four
independent business units for fixed-line, mobility, enterprise and new
business.
8.Tower
infrastructure should be spun off into a new subsidiary to unlock the
value through a strategic sale or separate IPO.
9.Separate
subsidiary to hold undeveloped land bank.
10.Address
the delays in buying network equipment -- BSNL should start using tools
such as e-procurement, vendor rating and running contracts.
